Chapter 6 - The Outer Coreinic Zone (My Journey to the Center of the Earth)

Miss Marie had pushed me to the Outer Core! What could I have done to make Miss Marie so mad? I felt melted iron and nickel around me. This was way denser than that of the iron and nickel I had seen in the above layers. Right then I felt like I would never make it to the center of the Earth. Why? Because it was 2,250 kilometers until I will get to the Inner Core, and that the temperature was from 2,200 degrees Celsius to 5,000 degrees Celsius, and I had left my ice suit in the Mantle! The only things that were keeping me from burning to death were the one hundred cool metal swords above me.

Wait a minute; did I just say 100 cool metal swords above me? I looked up above me and saw one hundred Plutonians with one hundred swords. Uh Oh. That should also be my motto. I ran for my life. I wished that because the Outer Core was the one with the magnetic field for the Earth, I could use it to magnetically lift me up to the atmosphere again. So much for an adventure. I did not want to be part of this mess if it meant dying! Anyways, it would take a miracle to get me out of these miles of solid rock, so then I thought that I might as well die for the good of the Earth instead of running out like a chicken being chased by a cow!

"Where do you think you are going, Anshula the Atmo?" a voice as cold as stone crept out upon me. Her body was made entirely out of ice, with the most intricate designs carved into it, and right away I knew that she must be the Plutonian Queen-Queen Patricia the Petrifying. I immediately turned around and was going to run off when the queen said in a surprisingly calm voice- "Why you run, I do not know,"

I plucked up all my courage and, trying to sound just as calm as she did, trembling, I said-

"Will you let me by then?" She is not all that petrifying, I thought to myself.

Just then, she broke out into the most petrifying, most scary, most evil laugh I had ever heard in my entire life.

"If this riddle, you shall get, you shall move without any fret.
If this riddle you cannot answer, I shall give you bad heart cancer.
If you choose, to turn back, you shall leave without attack,"

"I did not come all this way just to have a silly little riddle stop me,” I said, a little too bravely.

"As you wish.
Up in Greece, the grease up top,
On creatures not too far,
The colors of oceans,
With a lighted up head,
With a code of ruling the enemy."

Uh Oh, I should have known that this was no regular What Am I poem. Okay, let's see, Greece, up there is Rome, Athens, nope, nothing there. Oceans are blue, something blue. Lighted up head, that must mean smart. Then, it came to me. Greece, Athens, Asthen, and Asthens are blue, they have that secret code (which apparently wasn't all that secret since the Plutonian Queen knew about it), and Cassie, she had light bulbs on her head!

I reached into my pocket for the grease that I had gotten from Alex's head, and I knew what I had to do. I splashed the goo onto the Queen's face, while she replayed the scene of I'm melting, from The Wizard of Oz. Awesome! I have defeated the Plutonian Queen and am on my way to the Inner Core! Then, I knew what to do. I held my breath and pinched my nose as if I was going to dive into the swimming pool, I murmured here goes nothing to myself, and dived into the Queen's melted remains. I felt a rush of cool, and before I knew it, I was in the Inner Core!
