Chapter 8: The Prophecy (My Journey to the Center of the Earth)

I picked up the prophecy. Ouch! It stings! How am I supposed to destroy it if I cannot even pick it up? I started bawling. Here I am, stuck inside the Inner Core of the Earth, with absolutely no one. A tear drop accidentally fell onto the prophecy. Even though I did not notice it at first, a beam of light burst out from the prophecy, and figures rose out of the prophecy, becoming more and more lifelike each second.

"Hello Anshula, Long time, no see, "I heard a familiar gentle female voice say.

I turned around and there stood Cassie, who had been a real friend, Alex, who had also been a great pal, Miss Marie, who had treated me like her very own, Mason, Miss Marie’s son, and an unfamiliar fat girl, but I had a pretty good idea of who she was.

Then without thinking, I embraced them all, even Maxine! Hot tears were rolling down my cheeks, except this time they were happy tears!

"I am so sorry for getting mad at you, Anshula, "Miss Marie told me, "You see, Alex was the son of the man who had killed Maxine, but I guess the apple really does fall far from the tree!"

"After your tear landed on the prophecy, all of the people the Plutonians had killed came back to life and attacked, and while they were battling, I escaped." Alex looked overjoyed.

"When I saw the dead coming back to life and when we won the battle, I just knew that you were behind it, so I decided to come along too."Cassie told me.

"Why did you come?"I asked.

"Well, we wanted to say thanks for everything…"Miss Marie said.

"We also wanted to offer you a ride to the Atmosphere!" Cassie burst out.

"Why not?"I chuckled.

Each of us got into Cassie's I.E.F.O., and then, we were off!
